Know which assistant sent each sale

Shoppers now ask AI assistants what to buy. Free: this app describes your Odoo shop to AI assistants and shows you which ones visit and at least how many sales they sent. With the Zaltric service, assistants can also search your products and put a basket together, which the shopper pays for through your own checkout or, if you switch on card payments, in the assistant. Your Odoo then names each sale by the assistant that started it.

The app opens on three figures: your sales from AI assistants this month, the visits they made in the last seven days, and your shop's grade. Below them, one table puts visits and sales side by side for each assistant.

Free, no account. You install it as you install any module on your Odoo; after that, no developer is needed: everything is set up in the AI Shopping Assistants app.

Community and Enterprise. It runs on Odoo 18, 19 and 20, Community and Enterprise alike: we test it on both.

Orders land in your Odoo. Every order is made in your own Sales app, at your own prices.

Shoppers arrive with their basket ready

With the Zaltric service, an AI assistant can search your products and put a basket together. The shopper then lands on a page of your own shop that lists those items, each line with its quantity and its total at your shop's live prices. One press adds them to an ordinary Odoo basket, and your own checkout takes the order, exactly as it does for a shopper who arrived any other way.

Your shop works with AI agents in the shopper's browser

Some AI assistants now act inside the shopper's own browser. The app offers them your shop's search and basket through WebMCP, a new web standard: an assistant can search your products, read a product's details, add it to the basket, change a quantity and go to your checkout, in the shopper's own session and at your shop's prices. It never pays; the shopper does that at your own checkout. Browsers are still adding WebMCP, and in a browser without it nothing changes. It is on for each of your websites, and you can switch it off in the app's Settings.

Your customers bring your shop into their own AI assistant

With the Zaltric service, your shop offers its customers a personal shopper they add to their own AI assistant. A page on your shop gives them one line to paste into their assistant, the skill to download (SKILL.md, or a zip for Claude) and the steps for Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. Their assistant then searches your products, with prices and stock as your shop has them, and builds their basket; they pay at your shop's own checkout. It is served once your shop is connected, and you can switch it off for each website in the app's Settings.

Every order says where it came from

An order an assistant started through the Zaltric service carries one line above its title and one note in its history, such as Started by ChatGPT (OpenAI) through Zaltric. In your orders list, filter by Orders from AI assistants, or group the orders by assistant.

Free: when a shopper arrives through a link ChatGPT tags as its own, the order says "Referred by ChatGPT (OpenAI)". It is kept apart from sales made through checkout, and you can group your orders by AI assistant and by how they came.

Find out what to fix first

The app's Grade screen has setup checks you can run yourself. They run entirely inside your Odoo, go through everything an AI assistant needs from your shop's settings, and say line by line, in plain words, what is in order and what to do about anything that is not. Once your shop is connected, the same screen shows the grade Zaltric's free check gives it, measured from outside, and what would raise it.

Tell shoppers what delivery costs and when it arrives

Shoppers ask AI assistants what delivery costs and when an order will arrive. The app writes your delivery methods into your shop's home page in the form Google and AI assistants look for: each method with a fixed price, what it costs and the order total from which it is free, including methods limited by postcode in the US, Canada and Australia. A method priced by weight, or limited to some products, is not stated, so say on your delivery page what it costs.

In the app's Settings, under Delivery times, enter for each delivery method the days you take to dispatch an order and the days it spends in transit. Your home page states them once they are filled in, and the Grade screen's delivery time line opens that setting.

Switch on only what you want

The app's Settings screen uses Odoo's own layout. Every product feed the app makes, checkout inside AI assistants and its card payments stay off until you switch them on.

With checkout inside AI assistants, shoppers can buy without leaving the chat, once an assistant's platform accepts your shop. With card payments switched on, an assistant can pay for an order with a single-use Stripe token, charged on your own Stripe account through your Odoo Stripe provider; the token is never stored.

The assistants it names

The app names visits and orders from ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Google AI (AI Mode, Gemini), Perplexity, Meta AI and Grok (xAI), and counts visits from other AI assistants too.

The app's Sales and visits screen shows how many visits AI assistants made to the pages your shop writes for them in the last seven days, and which assistants made them. It counts visits to those pages and nothing else: it is not a count of recommendations or sales, and a higher number does not mean you are selling more. One assistant that visits ten times counts as ten visits. Some AI assistants, such as Meta's Muse, browse like an ordinary browser and look the same as a shopper, so they are not counted.

Free, and with the Zaltric service

The app is free and needs no account. An optional paid service from Zaltric adds more, and the table below shows exactly what.

The Zaltric service runs a shop window for your shop: a copy of your catalogue, held by Zaltric, that AI assistants connect to so they can search your products and put baskets together.

Ready in three steps, without rebuilding your shop

1. Install it. Your Odoo starts describing your shop to AI assistants at once, on your shop's own web address, with no account and nobody's approval.

2. Connect, if you want more. A one-time code from your Zaltric account connects your Odoo to the Zaltric service, so assistants can search your products.

3. Sell. With the Zaltric service, shoppers arrive with their basket ready, and each order says which assistant started it.

What leaves your Odoo

Nothing at all is sent until you connect your Odoo to the Zaltric service, and the free parts of this app work whether or not you ever do. Once connected, your published catalogue is sent, with the shop pages and delivery details you choose for assistants to quote.

Nothing about your existing customers or their orders is sent, and no card or payment details of any kind, with five exceptions. A customer who signs in from their own AI assistant: their own prices and orders, which they agree to share, reach that assistant through the shop window. When an assistant starts a checkout, the buyer's name, e-mail address, phone number and delivery address pass through the shop window into your Odoo as a quotation; they are not kept by Zaltric beyond that checkout.

With card payments switched on, an assistant's payment passes through the shop window into your Odoo as a single-use Stripe token, and your Odoo sends it, with the order's amount and reference, to your own Stripe account through your Odoo Stripe provider. Neither Zaltric nor your Odoo stores the token: your Odoo keeps the payment's record, as it does for any Stripe payment, with Stripe's reference for it and a one-way fingerprint of the token, used only to tell a repeated attempt from a new one.

If you take sales through Stripe, Stripe's check of each order passes through the shop window into your Odoo, which checks Stripe's signature on it; it carries the shopper's name, e-mail address and delivery address, their phone number when Stripe has one, and the card's brand, last four digits and expiry date. Your Odoo puts the phone number on that order's delivery address. Zaltric keeps none of these details and does not log them.

An order an AI assistant placed is reported by your Odoo directly to that assistant's platform; if the platform asks for it, it is read through the shop window and not kept. A message a customer sends you about their order through an AI assistant passes through the shop window into that order's conversation in your Odoo, and your replies there pass back the same way when the assistant asks for them; neither is kept by Zaltric. Once connected, pressing Check again on the Grade screen asks Zaltric's checker to read your shop's public pages from outside and grade them; only which shop to check is sent, and it never runs on its own.

Good to know

  • Quotations from the service. A checkout started through the shop window is a quotation in your Sales app, made the way your website makes a basket. If the shopper does not pay, it stays a draft, like any basket left on your website, and you handle it the same way. The exception is checkout inside AI assistants, if you switch it on: a quotation it makes that is left unpaid is deleted a day or two after its checkout ends, unless the shopper opened it in their browser or a payment for it is still being settled. The guest contact made for it goes too, unless it has a login or other orders; one that something else in your Odoo still refers to has its personal details blanked instead.
  • Abandoned-basket e-mails. Such a quotation gets your abandoned-basket e-mail only as any basket does: only if you have switched that e-mail on, and only to a shopper whose e-mail address the checkout has.
  • If you never connect. Nothing is sent anywhere. The free pages only answer what they are asked. The one that changes anything is the basket page's confirm button, pressed by a shopper, which adds the items to that shopper's own basket as your own Add to cart does; from then on it is an ordinary basket.
  • Uninstalling. It uninstalls cleanly: its pages, settings, scheduled actions and footer link go, the sign-in keys it issued are deleted, and so is every setting it stored in your Odoo. Your shop works as it did before.
  • For your developer. Every address the app serves on your shop, and what each one does, is in the app's documentation: the Documentation tab of its Odoo Apps page, and the help page on Zaltric's website.
